The Cannon-Sandretto Plastics Museum, in Pont Canavese, will be open to the public for the Spring Days organized by the FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano – Italian National Trust), on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March.
The Cannon-Sandretto Museum is the first Italian plastics museum: located in the Art Nouveau building of the former Sandretto plant, and now a Cannon Group’s property, the museum houses a collection of more than 2500 plastic objects, collected since 1985 by Gilberto Sandretto.
For the occasion, the Museum will inaugurate the eighth room, dedicated to the composite materials.
The whole Pont Canavese town will be involved in the Spring Days: besides the Plastic Museum, other cultural centres will take part in the FAI Spring Days, as a small museum of craft activities under the arcades of the town, one of the medieval towers, an ancient church just outside the door and a hydroelectric power station.
For these days, guided tours were organized, in collaboration with local guides and some aspiring Cicero, students from the Castellamonte High School.
Opening powered by the FAI delegation of Ivrea and Canavese
Sat-Sun 10.00 – 17.30
Suggested contribution starting from: € 3.00
